The Robert F. Schiffmann Memorial Scholarship was established by the International Microwave Power Institute (IMPI) in 2022 to honor the legacy of IMPI’s long serving President, Bob Schiffmann. The scholarship is open to all current high school Seniors, undergraduate and graduate students, seeking a degree in: science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM fields), from an accredited college or university, during the 2025/2026 academic school year (either in the US or internationally). 

The application is open from February 28th to March 31st. A review committee, consisting of IMPI Members, will determine the scholarship recipient.  Priority will be given to those applicants with strong academic performance, a record of service within their community and demonstrated financial need. Children of IMPI Board Members and Staff are ineligible to apply. The scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable, $500USD award, funded by IMPI and the Schiffmann family, and will be awarded each June in conjunction with the Annual IMPI Symposium.
